Connection and Protection

new daily practice bags, prayer flags, and goddesses for the week + this week's ritual video
2

May your heart be resilient,
sweet and nourishing,
even when touched by thorns.
May you have strength to soften,
permission to rest,
courage to step back when overwhelmed.
Let your soul be a sanctuary of gentleness,
where chaos cannot consume you,
where joy can breathe and bloom.
May you gather fragments of magic
right where you are,
remembering you are sacred,
you are enough.
you are beloved.
Blessed be your journey.
Blessed be your heart.
Blessed be your wild, tender spirit.

Happy Summer Solstice! So excited to share today’s shop update with you! We have our promised beautiful new daily practice bags ready as well as rainbow goddess flags, Tanit prayer flags, and “Summer Mischief” goddesses.

This week's magic:

Resource Reminders:

Life’s Bits and Pieces:

This summer,
set forth on a mission
of exploration,
an excavation
of your own heart's yearning.
Let your deepest questions
enrich you
and inspire you
as you make your way.

  • Reading:

    • to self: Time Anxiety. Non-fiction that I pre-ordered on Kindle in November and completely forgot about until it suddenly showed up. While it isn’t really offering anything practical yet, I’m really enjoying the perspective and it arrived at just the right time to speak to me—summer always feels “sped up” to me and like I’m racing against the clock.

    • just got: The Hazel Wood. YA dark fairy tale from the library that my daughter checked out first and didn’t read, so I’m going to read it instead!

    • finished! Those three pdf proofs of books that I mentioned needing to endorse. Feeling good about doing it!

    • to kids: Death Weavers. Book four in the Five Kingdoms series.

  • Looking forward to:

    • more fun at summer reading programs at the library!

      • including a…puzzle tournament! yes, really! Mark and I are on a team with two friends and we’re going to compete, lol!

    • actually settling down with my new book project. I’m starting to make some progress, though still mentally only mainly. The way a book bubbles around is interesting to me!

    • family summer solstice ritual with my kids.

    • Cauldron Month—coming up in August, I’m already sensing myself craving the space to steep.

      • I’m tentatively planning a solo writing retreat/personal recharge at my kids vacant-for-the-summer apartment.

Connection and Protection

Reminder: May we gently navigate the thresholds in our lives. May we reach out in connection, both with ourselves and the larger web of life.

Note: expanded edition with practices and printable companion cards is here.

Journal questions to consider:

  • What threshold am I currently approaching?

  • What doors are opening between the known and unknown in my life?

  • What needs to be weeded out or cast aside?

  • Where do I need to claim more space for myself?

  • What does having the right to my own life mean to me?

  • What threads of friendship or connection need strengthening?

  • How can I reach out while also honoring my personal boundaries?

Affirmations for this week:

  • I am open to change.

  • I am flexible and resilient.

  • I am connected to the web of life.

  • I reach out with courage and tenderness.

  • I navigate the crossroads with grace.

  • I open the doors between known and unknown.

  • I welcome wonder into my life.

  • I exhale my worries and inhale possibility.

  • I listen deeply to my heart's wisdom.

  • I am patient with my process of transformation.

  • I trust the magic of my own becoming.

Slowly,
release yourself
from needing
to solve it all.
Instead,
soften.
Gently,
return home to yourself.
Let your vision clear.
Listen carefully.
Trust that you will discover
what to do.

Much love,

Molly, Mark, + Family
